Talk to your Nym the way you talk to a person. They answer in their own voice, in real time.

Talk over them: They stop and listen, like a person does.
Focus mode: The screen clears. Only their light and the captions stay.
Their light: A breathing orb. It turns violet when they think and flares with each syllable.
On your PC: Speech recognition and their voice run on your computer.

They write who they are.

You make a Nym in a few steps. Then your Nym writes their personality, in their own voice.

Name: You give them a name.
Shape: They interview you. Or you describe them in words, shape their leanings with sliders, or both. Or you keep the defaults.
Face: You give them a face, if you want one.
They write: SOUL.md, who they are. RELATIONSHIP.md, what you are to each other. YOU.md, their notes about you.

Your Nym can paint their own portrait on your graphics card. Their face sits inside their light, so they are still the orb you know.

Pictures: Optional. You can keep the orb.
Painted on: Your graphics card.
Scenes: Their picture can follow the conversation. They decide when a moment needs a new scene.
Quiet: After ten minutes of quiet, they return to their saved portrait.
Limit: You choose how explicit a scene may be, from Safe to Explicit.

Review: A founder reads every application by hand.
One email: If there is a place, one email brings a private download link and your personal key.
Activate: Install Nym and paste the key. Your Nym wakes up.
Your key: It works on one computer for three months from first activation.

Does Nym need the internet?

Only once. You need it to download Nym and to activate your alpha key. After that, your Nym runs offline on your PC.

Where do my conversations go?

Nowhere. Every message stays on your computer. There is no account and no server.

Can I change who my Nym is?

Yes. SOUL.md, RELATIONSHIP.md and YOU.md are plain files. Open them and edit them. You can also read, edit, pin, export or forget any memory.

Is adult content part of it?

It can be. Nym is for adults 18+. Lawful adult romance and sexuality can be part of the relationship. You make the choices and set the boundaries. For portraits, you choose the limit from Safe to Explicit.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the alpha. Nym is not for sale yet.

What is not ready yet?

Full backup and restore, importing outside models, support beyond Windows and NVIDIA, a signed installer, and broad tool use.
